Overview of the concept and benefits.
Clear advantages with Danfoil
For more than 40 years, Danfoil has developed a spraying technology that differs significantly from conventional field sprayers. Our unique air-assisted Eurofoil® atomizer combines high capacity, precise application, and proven low drift – benefiting your bottom line, workflow, and the environment.
High capacity – fewer stops, more efficient spraying
Danfoil's spraying system works with very low water volumes, typically 30–50 liters per hectare. This provides a capacity that can be up to 6 times higher than with conventional sprayers. The result is fewer refills, less downtime, and significant time and fuel savings in daily operations.
Low fluid consumption – without compromising
Where traditional sprayers often work with 150–250 l/ha, Danfoil has been developed for effective spraying with significantly lower water volumes.
The high concentration and targeted application ensure that the spray hits exactly where it should – without waste.
Effective application throughout the crop
The airflow from Danfoil's sprayer creates controlled turbulence around the plant. This means that the spray penetrates the crop and provides uniform coverage at both the top and bottom – as well as on both the upper and lower sides of the leaves.
The result is a more effective effect, even in dense and vigorous crops.
Reduced chemical consumption
The combination of low fluid consumption and optimal deposition makes it possible in many cases to reduce the chemical dosage without compromising the effect.
Less waste and better utilization of resources result in both financial savings and a lower environmental footprint.
Proven lower drift
Danfoil's spray technology has been documented through trials and practical application. In 2009, Danfoil achieved a 75% drift reduction approval from the renowned German institute JKI.
The high droplet velocity and controlled droplet size mean that wind drift can be minimized – often better than with traditional spray systems.
Variable droplet size – adapted to the task
With Danfoil, the droplet size is controlled exclusively by air pressure.
This allows for stepless adjustment of the droplet spectrum directly from the driver's cab, so that spraying can always be adapted to the crop, growth stage, and weather conditions.
No nozzle changes – one atomizer for all tasks
The Eurofoil® atomizer can be used for all spraying tasks.
There is no need to change nozzles – adjusting the air pressure is all that is required to change the droplet size and spray characteristics. This simplifies the work and reduces the risk of errors.
Long service life and low maintenance
The Eurofoil® atomizer comes with a 10-year wear warranty.
In practice, this means fewer wear parts, minimal adjustment, and low maintenance costs compared to conventional nozzles.
User-friendly and functional in everyday use
Danfoil field sprayers are designed with a focus on simple operation and high functionality.
The most important functions are easily controlled from the driver's cab via a joystick and touchscreen, giving the sprayer operator full control – even in changing conditions.
